The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forewarned that the soaking phase would be more vigorous for the next three days over the extensive rains being experienced in the last two days in numerous districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The cyclonic storm Ditva which is losing its power, though, is still having a considerable impact on the coastal areas and this has led the government to declare high alerts in the districts that are most vulnerable.

They have been told to keep their eyes peeled, particularly in the region of southern coast, because deterioration is predicted in that area. The local government is already working on safety measures and advising people to stay away from traveling unless it’s really necessary.

Heavy Rain Forecast Across AP and Telangana

Tirumala and Tirupati regions have been continuously receiving rain from the early morning onwards, while Nellore district is partly caught up in the storm, and strong winds mixed with rain are making life miserable in that part due to Ditva’s lingering effect. The authorities have issued red alerts in the worst-affected areas and have recommended the public to remain inside unless it is really needed.

Meteorologists say that the very severe cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal is on the move towards the north in the direction of South India Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Andhra Pradesh. The weather system may disintegrate into a normal cyclonic circulation by Tuesday morning, however, the officials predict that the downpour will continue at high intensity.
